So you've watched the Social Goals 2.0 video, know how to create an objective and how to craft a really good goal by creating an awesome objective and really measurable key results.  But if you're still not clear on, "what kind of goals should I create?" then this article is for you.

Rypple helps you achieve different types of goals:

  • Personal goals
  • Team goals
  • Organizational goals

Start with creating a personal goal. Everyone has things they need to work on for personal or career development like "Get promoted to senior manager in 2 years" or "Improve Public Speaking". Create a personal goal, invite your manager (and others) and setup a 1:1 meeting with your manager to discuss it.

Team goals are things that can only be accomplished through team effort, like "Increase social media presence by 30%" or "Lightning fast customer support". If you're a manager the next thing to do is create a team goal, walk your team through it and hold them accountable for progress against it.

If you're an executive, you can use social goals as a communication tool to help everyone understand the bigger picture. Create an organization-wide goal like, "Best Place To Work" and tell your Rypple admin to set it as a Key Objective.
